Impact measurement of counseling and shelter stays
RED Center against honor-related conflicts uses Socialwise for impact measurement at their three specialized shelters, RED Safehouse 1, RED Safehouse 2 and RED+, as well as in relation to their structured conversation process in RED Counseling.
RED Counseling is a counseling service for young people aged 16-30 years with honor-related issues. Since October 2023, RED Counseling has used Socialwise to conduct impact measurements of their structured conversation programmes. The preliminary results show significant positive effects in relation to well-being and life satisfaction.
RED+ provides shelter for LGBT+ youth aged 16–30 with ethnic minority backgrounds who are affected by honor-related issues. Since the shelter opened in February 2022, RED+ has used Socialwise in an expanded model that includes ongoing impact measurements using validated measures of well-being, loneliness, life satisfaction and self-efficacy/empowerment. Additionally, the shelter receives ongoing feedback on the results for the individual residents in order to support and qualify the ongoing social work practice. Preliminary measurements show several positive effects such as reduced loneliness, improved well-being and higher life satisfaction.
RED Safehouse 1 and 2 are the country’s most secure and specialized shelters for young people and couples between the ages of 16-30 fleeing honor-related conflicts involving control, violence, forced marriage or threats thereof. Since fall 2024 and spring 2025, the shelters have used Socialwise to measure the impact of the stay for their residents. The measurements include validated measures of well-being, loneliness, life satisfaction and self-efficacy/empowerment.
